DCF Licensed Facility
A Magic World Child Care Center is fully licensed by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF). Our license is current and we maintain full compliance with all state regulations governing childcare facilities in Florida.
Staff Certifications
All staff members hold current CPR and First Aid certifications. Our lead teachers meet or exceed Florida's education and training requirements for childcare professionals.
Background Checks
Every employee undergoes Level 2 background screening as required by Florida law, including FBI fingerprint checks and local background checks, before being allowed to work with children.
Staff-to-Child Ratios
We strictly maintain Florida's mandated staff-to-child ratios at all times: 1:4 for infants, 1:6 for toddlers (1-2 years), 1:11 for preschool (3-4 years), 1:15 for school-age children (5-12 years).
Secure Facility
Our facility features secure entry points, visitor sign-in procedures, and authorized pickup lists. No child is released to any unauthorized individual. Our facility is kept clean, sanitized, and well-maintained.
Emergency Preparedness
We maintain comprehensive emergency plans for fire, severe weather, lockdown, and medical emergencies. Regular drills are conducted, and all staff are trained in emergency response procedures.
Health & Immunization
We require up-to-date immunization records and health exams as mandated by Florida law. Our illness policies protect the health of all children and staff in our care.
Discipline Policy
We use only positive, age-appropriate guidance and discipline techniques. Physical punishment is never used. Our approach focuses on redirection, positive reinforcement, and teaching social-emotional skills.
